365:226 BIL DERBY

Despite work demanding far more than its fair share of my waking hours I managed to squeeze in a short photo walk out to our industrial waterfront a while back. This was nothing more than a recce trip to make a few sketchbook images around my working waterfront project.  Despite the light coming and going faster than bowls of chips at a football party, I did manage a couple of decent images and my favourite of the day is attached. These large industrial container cranes defy any normal sense of scale and, by virtue of form, convey a sense of movement and energy that is just a bit uncomfortable.
