#209 BONO, HANKS, OPRAH, TYSON; HOW TO SHOOT THE STARS!

Joe Pugliese, or 'Joepug' as you’ll find him online, is an LA based photographer, travelling the world, who photographs celebs and celeb culture, but to quote from his bio; “He’s also had the privilege to meet and photograph scientists, authors, performers of every type, creative geniuses, and everyday people who have something fascinating to say." Meet one of the most in demand photographers in a town where everything is hotly contended and find out why and how he photographs. Also today some show news about a new weekend business edition coming soon!

Patron of the Day today is Dodd Vickers who has a fascinating job and very apt one today as location manager and scout for films and television. “I am,” says Dodd, “One of the first people hired when a show is green lit for actual production. In collaboration with the Cinematographer, Production Designer and Director, I move into the real world and begin the search for the locations where we can bring the script to life.” You can see his work and the locations he finds in his Instagram feed here. It’s a fascinating insight into a type of photography you may not have considered.

We’re also supported by MPB.com, the number one platform for buying, selling and trading used camera gear with offices and warehouses now in Brighton UK, Brooklyn USA, and now Berlin for Europe. In Texas, Kathryn Cunningham dropped us a line within the PD Facebook group to say that MPB US has just delivered an extender. I saw the box pics, it was like a YouTube unboxing. And good to have a Photography Daily happy user of MPB.com’s services.

Studio Ninja, the studio management software people have an offer for Photography Daily professional photographers: 50% off your first year of use, by entering the code PHOTODAILY50 when you go to their website.
