#246 SWAPPING FIREFIGHTS FOR FIREFLIES! JASON P. HOWE Pt.2

Jason P. Howe returns for the second part of his two parter as we follow him from Colombia to the Middle East. He talks of a brutal step change and how he made photographs of conflicts across the region, from surviving a suicide bomb attack, an IED on patrol with the British Army to a film made about his life. We talk about the mental toll of being a witness to war and conflict, those who choose to do it now, and how the next part of his life behind a camera is changing with a move to Andalusia.

Patron of the Day today is Andrew Clark known as Clarky on Instagram with his photographic grid ramblings of an amateur photographer. FujiFilm X series user and a recent convert to film with an old Nikon FA 📷. Thank you for your support as ever Clarky and I’ve been keeping tabs of course with your latest travels and it’s great to see you’ve started to embrace film in your grid of late.

We’re also supported by MPB.com who help you buy, sell and trade used camera gear in the US, the UK and Europe and I think it’s important to add that it’s a service I personally use. I’ve bought used camera gear through them because I like the idea of a guarantee, I’ve sold kit I no longer use through them and I’ve traded gear in against equipment I really want to add to my kit bag. They make every step of the journey fair and easy and THAT is why I keep going back to them.
