JANUARY 2023: ALEXANDER WARD

“UNTITLED”

This month the assignment is a ‘mini-project’ set by commercial and editorial photographer Alexander Ward. This assignment was set in episode #363 and appears one hour and eight minutes into the show.

THE ASSIGNMENT BRIEF

From Alex: “Shoot afresh, this is not an archival project. Curate a series of five images that includes a wide opening and closing shot, plus at least one detail shot within. Create a narrative in your pictures that the ‘reader’ can understand, that does not require text as this assignment is called ‘Untitled’. Tell your story minus words. This can be a project that involves people or not, the title is open to interpretation. Try to create something that has ‘a part of you in it’. This ideally may be something that your are connected with/to in some way or another.”

HOW TO ENTER

Send your entries to stories@photowalk.show, pictures should be 2000 pixels on the wide side. Even though this is a text-free entry, please provide a sentence of detail for judges to read. The picture that creates the most intrigue will receive a Photowalk flask.

Entries are shown below and good luck!
