#174 THE CAPITOL, WHAT THE PHOTOGRAPHER SAW!

A Saturday extra edition talking with DC photojournalist David Butow. He came to Washington at the start of the Trump presidency to see how the story might play out. And as the last days of President Trump’s residence within 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue do exactly that, David found himself on Wednesday afternoon at yet another rally, but one that was to take an ugly turn.

Today’s Patron of the day from our Patreon support is Andrew Higgins and this is his Instagram. Pre-Insta', Andrew started ten years back and shot a very long term 'pic a day' project/habit, posting to Blipfoto, which is still there, at www.blipfoto.com/andrewhiggins. Andrew says, “I'd really recommend any listeners who are thinking of doing a 365 project this year to look into joining Blipfoto, as it really helps create a daily diary structure to work to.”

Also thank you as ever to our sponsor mpb.com who are the number one go to if you are thinking of buying, selling, or trading used camera gear on line in the States or Europe. They also have a blog full of inspirational interviews with photographers at mpb.com including the latest, drone photographer and film maker Hugo Healy who gives you some top flight advice when it comes to choosing kit and staying positive for 2021 in the business.

Photographs copyright David Butow. Not to be reproduced or used without express permission of the photographer.
