#191 PRESIDENTS, PASSION & PROBLEM SOLVING

"A lot of people have jobs they don't love doing. I'm lucky in that I love photography just as much today as I always have."

Scott Goldsmith has spent a life behind the lens witnessing and photographing history. He has travelled on assignment with Presidents, made and makes long tail projects of and on American social issues and considers himself a problem solver as much a photographer. 'Loving what you do' is at the heart of his philosophy when it comes to making pictures and today he shares why he believes we're lucky to be in a position to make history every day with our cameras.

Patron of the day today is April Brown from Sutton in Massachusetts, which going by her Instagram grid right now is covered by a blanket of snow. There’s plenty to like in that department photographically, but in particular I spied the cat at the foot of a wonderfully snow enveloped tree. Simplicity strikes again, love it. And thank you for your support April in helping this show grow.

Today's show is supported by MPB.com, the number one platform for buying, selling and trading used camera gear. With offices in Brighton UK, Brooklyn USA, and now Berlin for Europe, if you're buying, selling or trading, these are the people you can trust to make the whole thing easy to do. Unlike other camera resellers, MPB focuses exclusively on used kit. With over 160,000 cameras, lenses and accessories traded each year and more than £250M in quotes to sellers per year, MPB is inspiring photographers and filmmakers to think and choose used, making creative industries more sustainable and driving the circular economy.
