#45 THE PHOTOGRAPHY MOVEMENT

I have a question to ask. And it’s quite personal, shift uncomfortably if you will or require.

How are you…?

No really, how are you?

Honestly, it’s been odd hasn’t it, this time we’re living in? And I promise you, as a man who spent his 20s in broadcasting with a fair amount of oddity thrown in for good measure, much of it not in total sobriety, I couldn’t begin to top this oddness I am experiencing decades later.

Today we continue with what has become a kind of mini series on coping with the stresses, strains and anxieties of life and how The Photography Movement as a non profit organisation has been set up to ‘foster a community spirit, where individuals of all ages can discuss mental wellbeing through the medium of photography.’

The movement was set up by best friends Scott Shillum and Steve Wallington, who both lost close family and friends to suicide.

They share a passion for photography. Scott was a picture editor for a national newspaper title before founding a visual communications agency called Vismedia, and Steve is a creative director for leading creative and advertising agencies.
