#185 BORN FREE, PHOTOGRAPHED FREE, LIVING FREE

Meet commercial and wildlife photographer George Logan, a man who has spent his life dedicated to and now photographing one of the most magnificent cats to walk this planet. George has photographed and published a book with the Born Free Foundation, Lion: Pride before the fall, aimed to bring the plight of this now endangered species to the fore in a race against time to save African lions from being simply wiped out.

Patron of the day today is David Tanner and in his insta @alensinthelandscape – you’ll find a beautifully delicate feel to David’s work, a quiet even; a glimpse of a tree at sunset through a sash window, a wonderful abstract frost scene that I could see easily on any wall framed, everyday objects that mean something to some, and everything to him, I love on that note the protesting teddy bear. So, grab yourself a coffee and grab a moment of Northumberland quietness. David, it’s a privilege to have you as a patron. If you’d like to join our patrons in helping to build this podcast you can do so through this LINK.

We’re supported too by MPB.com, the world’s largest resale platform for digital photography and filmmaking kit. With offices in Brighton UK, Brooklyn USA, and now Berlin for Europe, if you're buying, selling or trading, these are the people you can trust to make the whole thing easy to do. I spoke to our good friend of the show and personal mentor Giles Penfound yesterday afternoon and he told me his MPB experience. He’s just relinquished the last of his digital Sony gear to concentrate on a love affair with Leica film cameras. He packed his digi gear into a box, it was collected by the arranged courier with pin point timing accuracy and within a day he had more money than he expected from the sale, because MPB being properly good for their word, upgraded kit they received from him. So when we say you can trust them to grade kit properly, they diligently do so. Proud to have MPB associated with this show as they drive the circular economy.
