#169 FRIDAY PHOTOWALK: 2021 PHOTO PLANS

It’s the first show of 2021, the mailbag show and if you’re new to this podcast, during the week, I talk with photographers from all backgrounds and genres. In 2020 we learned for example from a wildlife photographer what to do when charged by an elephant or lion, useful for trips to ‘insert your local big grocery chain store’ here. So sport, fine art, portraits, wildlife, conflict, landscape, weddings and social, street, mindful photography too, because that played a strong lead at times last year. Then on Fridays we go walk about, with your feedback from the shows, although today it’s exclusively what listener and contributor photographic plans are for 2021. Your response to my request to send your plans in was greeted with real enthusiasm and so over the next couple of weeks there’ll be more of this with your thoughts and feedback to the weekday shows. This edition is also a chance to tell you news and I have some today, plus of course it’s an unashamed excuse to get out with a camera, take a walk and make some pictures. We’re walking close to PDHQ today since lockdown dictates travel more than a few miles is a ‘no no.’

FURTHER REFERENCE: Yann Arthus-Bertrand, Hegaard the Dane’s moral dilemma over Papir Tårnet and Joel Meyerowitz’s retrospective; Where I find myself.

As always, send your thoughts and your photo plans or stories to studio@photographydaily.show and a big thank you to mpb.com for their support. If you are thinking; “Here we go, new year, I want to swap into something else, perhaps a mirrorless, or I need some particular glass, this is a good time to be seeing how MPB could help your hobby or business. On new year’s eve, I bought an excellent quality, good as new camera body and wide angle lens for projects I have coming up, so my money is certainly where my mouth is on the show. Go to mpb.com - enjoy the show!
