#111 DO WHAT YOU LOVE

Laird Kay is an aviation photographer. He makes extraordinary pictures of aircraft, often helping them to take on a living animal like existence, crafting unique angles to bring these man made machines to life. His career started in this very niche industry by embracing a suggestion we often moot as creatives; do what you love. A self confessed aircraft geek, there is not doubt he has found the correct ‘flightpath’ in life. Today I talk to Laird about his approach, his self confessed geeking and how the airline industry is fairing during this time.

See also Laird’s Instagram account.

Also we touch on mental health and a Facebook event being conducted today by Alex Benyon, a Sony Alpha Creator on his photographic series, Portraits of Mental Health. He’ll be appearing on the show soon to talk more about this personal project.

Today's show is kindly supported by MPB, trading thousands of cameras and lenses every week across Europe and the US.

Photographs copyright Laird Kay. Not to be reproduced or used without express permission of the photographer.
