#23 YOU’RE CREATIVE, KNOW YOUR VALUE!

So I’ll start the week by asking how you’re feeling? Not necessarily physically, but mentally? I’m not sure about you and I’ll welcome your thoughts by email, this has personally been the hardest time I’ve faced in my professional life. Whilst I watch friends and family not involved in the arts carrying on their everyday lives seemingly unaffected by job insecurity, those of my peers engaged in the creative industry have certainly had a more turbulent experience.

As a working photographer there is, without wanting to sound overtly cliché, a long and very winding road ahead as our economies start to peak out from under the duvet to see if its safe to play again.

Today New Mexico photographer, Dan Milnor, on knowing your value as a creative and the joy of using film stock.

Dan’s work with new and equally established photographers has revealed that many of us and I’ll count myself in this description to an extent, don’t readily accept that creativity is our inherent value and the difference that we may embrace positively for the future.

Dan also returns next week for a Focus Edition where we spend over an hour in his company really getting to the heart of what makes a news photographer, educator, storyteller, writer, printer and author.

Also in today’s edition we reveal photo tips to make your life as a creative easier. One today from Mike Miller about relaxing portrait sitters. Send yours in to: studio@photographydaily.show
